Please join Danielle and me for a wonderful and enlightening conversation with Dr. Mayme Hostetter. As President of Relay University, she brings a wealth of knowledge, a learning identity, and powerful ideas about how to strengthen our strategies and approaches to education. Relay and Dr. Hostetter believe in the power of mastery, growth mindset, and deliberate practice. Dr. Hostetter reminds us that the steep learning curves associated with deliberate practice of particular teaching skills for our residents and least experienced graduate students, I’m sold on the power of rehearsing teaching in the presence of experts. During this hour, we talk about the paradox of novice-expert and how it shows up in her leadership, with her team, their students, and in the culture of Relay University.
